A gentle, play-based introduction to basketball for toddlers and pre-schoolers — ages 3–4 — with a parent or carer right there on court alongside them.
What is Mini Hoops?
Mini Hoops is WBA's toddler basketball program — the very first step into the game for children aged 3–4. Sessions are all about movement, balance and basic ball skills, delivered through play rather than drills, and are run by a qualified coach.
A parent or carer stays on court for the whole session, so little ones feel safe and confident while they explore, roll, bounce and giggle their way into the game. It's the natural lead-in to Ford Aussie Hoops when they turn 5.
Play, not pressure
Age-appropriate games and activities that build coordination and confidence — no competition, just fun.
Grown-ups on court
A parent or carer takes part alongside their child every session, so no one is left on the sidelines.
The first step
Mini Hoops flows straight into Ford Aussie Hoops (ages 5–10), so the basketball journey keeps going.
