The Warragul Warriors Country Representative Program operates across the following age groups.
Team Structure: A maximum of three teams per age group (1st, 2nd and 3rd). Each team has a maximum of 10 players. Teams are only formed where player numbers support them. Selection is for the full Country season — not tournament by tournament.
The leading team (Team 1) from each age group will represent the Warragul Warriors at the Basketball Victoria Junior Country Championships — a prestigious event bringing together the best country basketball talent in Victoria.
π― Full Commitment Required. Selection in Team 1 carries a full season commitment that includes attending the JCC in its entirety — regardless of results on any given day. Basketball is a team sport, and every player's presence matters to the group throughout the full competition.
Commitment to the Team
- Commitment — carry out your obligations to others, including making sacrifices for the group
- Perseverance — when things aren't going your way, your team still needs your total effort
- Teamwork — learn your role and do what is best for the team
- Compete — compete to the best of your ability at all times, and be gracious in defeat
- Respect — for opponents, teammates, coaches, referees, spectators and administrators at all times
Parent & Family Commitment
- Scoring duty at each tournament (training & support provided)
- Encouragement from the sideline — not instruction
- Allow 24 hours before raising any concern with a coach
- Support fundraising and volunteering efforts where possible

Warrior Spirit
We compete with heart, pride and purpose. We play hard, we play fair, and we never stop. #warriorspirit
π€
Respect
For opponents, teammates, coaches, referees, families and the game itself — at all times.
π
Humility
Humble in victory and gracious in defeat. How we win and how we lose says more about who we are.
π
Enjoyment
Basketball should be the best part of a young person's week. Results matter — but so does the smile on the way home.
π‘
Community
We are more than a basketball program. Every player, family, coach and volunteer is part of something bigger than any single game.
